9/7/2020 Shield order updates, preparing for the fall.

Hello everyone!

This blog has been set up so for three reasons: 1) we can better communicate with individuals who would like to know the status of their orders; 2) we can announce new designs; 3) we can announce changes / expansions to our PPE deliveries.

As of 9/7/2020 the shield count stands at 6100 produced. Yesterday an order of 150 was dropped off to a volunteer for final delivery to Waterford-Halfmoon School District. Orders are complete for a delivery of 225 to go to Arbor Hill Elementary School. Later this week, Guilderland CSD should be receiving 200 shields. We anticipate this order to be complete by 9/8/2020. Afterwards, work will begin on an order for Schenectady CSD of 500 shields, which is anticipated to take approximately 1-2 weeks. There is also an additional order of 250 which will be distributed by the Rotary Club to various schools. This is anticipated to be fulfilled in 2 weeks.

Speaking of the Rotary Club, a small order of 25 shields was sent to Haiti for a group heading there for infrastructure mission work. So PPE from AlbanyNYPPE has now gone international!

In addition, as we turn our attention to the fall for the November elections, we are diligently working with our partners to identify locations that require shields for election officials. As always, our shields will be donated at no cost. If you or someone you know will be assisting with this year's elections, please don't hesitate to contact us so that we can get you your PPE.
